Why Play in USL-Y League?

The USL Youth League, formerly known as the Super Y League, is a premier national platform designed to extend player development beyond the traditional soccer calendar. The league provides consistent training and competitive match play throughout the summer months of June and July.

The program is open to boys and girls ages U10–U19 (2017–2008), with teams U11 and older eligible to qualify for the prestigious USL Youth National Finals, held each December in Tampa, Florida.

This program is unique in that it is open to players both within and outside of the club. Athletes from other organizations may participate with Chicago Inferno during the summer months with no obligation to join the club’s annual program. The Inferno USL-Y Program consists of two training sessions per week, beginning in mid-June and running through the end of July, along with 6–10 league matches. Inferno teams compete in the Midwest Division against clubs from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

League matches are played both locally and at neutral-site locations hosted by the league. Neutral-site dates and locations for the summer of 2025 were as follows:

July 12–13 — Indiana Invaders Complex (South Bend, IN)

July 19–20 — Pacesetter Park (Toledo, OH)

• July 26–27 — Waukegan Sports Park (Waukegan, IL)

The full summer league schedule is anticipated to be finalized and published by early spring 2025.
