College Advisory Program
The Process
For Chicago Inferno players with collegiate ambitions, the high school years (U15–U19) are a pivotal time in the recruitment journey. During this phase, student-athletes begin identifying academic and soccer goals, researching college programs, communicating with college coaches, attending campus visits, and preparing for the demands of college athletics. Through the Inferno College Advisory Program (CAP), players and families receive guidance, education, and support at each step of the process—helping them navigate timelines, expectations, and opportunities with confidence and clarity to find the right fit both on the field and in the classroom.
The college recruitment pathway involves multiple stages and important milestones throughout the high school years. Having a clear structure and understanding of the process helps student-athletes and families move forward with confidence. Below, you will find year-by-year guidance outlining what to expect at each stage, along with key focus areas and action items to support a successful college planning journey.
